Job Description

Due to growth, we are seeking a Business Continuity Program Manager. This role will be focused in the Greensboro, North Carolina area initially, and then grow into the Charlotte, North Carolina market. We offer:

In this key contractor position as Business Continuity Program Manager, you will be working directly with the leadership team to customize a business continuity program that will support the Enterprise Risk Management and IT Disaster Recovery team needs. This position offers the opportunity of working a hybrid schedule with 60% being onsite and 40% working remotely. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for business continuity and/or disaster recovery program development, have great communication skills, be adaptable and results-oriented with an ability to travel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create an organized method to build Business Continuity Plans for a corporate office and 12 departments.
  • Create an inventory of the impact to business processes and/or functions, depicting the financial and intangible impacts over time.
  • Create a priority of recovery inventory by either business process and IT Systems and measure recovery capabilities.
  • Conduct an analysis of functional dependencies, recovery requirements and develop a detailed description of all business continuity needs based on the strategic direction and risk tolerance.
  • Enhance business continuity templates, facilitate exercises with business units, identify gaps, and report results.
  • Lead the development, approval, and ongoing maintenance of corporate and departmental business continuity plans and procedures.
  • Provide awareness, education, communication, and training to all levels of leadership, on all aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery lifecycles.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and implementation
  • Adaptable with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Results oriented with experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication and training skills
  • Proficient with Excel and the ability to deliver executive-level reports/dashboards
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule of 60% onsite and 40% remote
  • Ability to travel
  • Must live in the Charlotte or Greensboro area
