The primary purpose of the IT Disaster Recovery Senior Consultant role is to help Asfalis Advisors clients to:
- Communicate IT and business strategy to technical and non-technical teams in an effective way to support IT disaster recovery.
- Provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing and communicating technical recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with the clients distributed applications, technology infrastructure and operational functions.
- Enable readiness of the applications and technology infrastructure so in the event of disaster the business functions can be resumed within a defined time frame.
- Coordinate the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall disaster recovery plans for each critical IT business function and, recovery of the identified data center and infrastructure.
- Assure, in the event of a business interruption disrupting normal business processes or warranting relocation of any business unit, that the proper planning and testing have been accomplished to facilitate a timely restoration of business operations at the Disaster Recovery Center.
Working from established requirements, this role will collaborate with our clients and internal team. The following are the desired outcomes and key results:
Responsibilities
- Work across the IT organization, including the infrastructure, operations, server, and application organizations.
- Focus areas for this role include policy and program management, planning and response, as well as technical training and exercises.
- Act as the primary disaster recovery team lead representative in all technology related DR/BC activities.
- Coordinate the development, documentation, communication, testing, and maintenance of Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, procedures, processes and controls.
- In partnership with the Asfalis IT DR Analyst and Business Continuity team, assist project teams to identify BCM and IT DR requirements and develop appropriate plans and testing approach prior to production.
- Provide leadership and coordination for the entire IT recovery process during testing and real disasters, including the leadership and coordination of recovery teams during the recovery process.
- Perform periodic analysis to ensure IT recovery plans are consistent with expectations and align with corporate business continuity objectives.
- Take a proactive leadership role in IT DR activities concerning data center recovery.
- Plan, organize and coordinate testing of Asfalis Advisors clients’ disaster recovery strategies.
- Lead a team in planning, organizing, and coordinating IT DR exercises and tests.
- Coordinate the development of annual test plans and proactively work with business continuity teams to execute the testing.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in computer science, information systems, information security, or a related IT field.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT Service Continuity program management, IT disaster recovery plan development, maintenance and exercising.
- Proven ability to work within large and complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures, mainframe and SaaS, architectures.
- Must be able to interact with technical, non-technical, and management staff in meaningful discussions with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of and experience in applying ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL v3, DRI International (DRII) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) professional practices, and industry specific regulations and regulatory bodies.

- Analyzes BIA and Risk Assessment data, identify and understand implications and changes to disaster recovery requirements. Ensures plan owners make the appropriate changes to their DR plans as required.

Purpose of the role
The primary purpose of the Vice President of Operations role is to:
- Lead, manage, coach, develop, and drive accountability for employees.

The primary purpose of the Business Resilience and Emergency Management Senior Consultant role is to:
- Lead and drive Asfalis Advisor’s Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Resilience program services for customers.
- Act as a lead to drive the product and services design, development, and delivery of all deliverables with customers.
- Lead, manage, drive accountability, and provide guidance and direction to the engagement team for work products.
Responsibilities

Purpose of the role
The PMO Director is responsible for leading an overall portfolio of projects by establishing and leading the governance, strategic alignment, delivery processes, resource management, and facilitating communication for the portfolio. This role leads a team to deliver the value of full-cycle project management across the organization.
Responsibilities
Methods, processes, and tools: Choose and adapt PM methodologies and approaches to best suit the needs of everyone involved at Asfalis. Select, implement, and manageappropriate tools for the different roles in project and portfolio management.
Managing a multi-project environment / Resource management is the PMO’s primary function. It includes maintaining a good overview of all the projects and ensuring that all the necessary data is always up to date.
- Prepare multi-project reports, plans
- Identify Time, Budget, or Quality deviations and taking countermeasures
- Control the flow of information in case of escalation
- Provide cross functional collaboration and partnership
- Control cross-project dependencies

Training and coaching: Support Project Managers and process participants through training.
- Coach in daily project work

Project implementation/services: Provide operational support in projects by managing a project, executing defined subtasks, or providing project assistance.
- Moderate of meetings
- Provide temporary assistance on projects
Strategic support: Align project work with Asfalis corporate strategy by classifying, selecting, and prioritizing (and, if necessary, terminating) projects.
- Build trust and support with top management, including quarterly and annual planning
- Develop cost-benefit analysis and prioritization of projects and ideas
- Drive strategic alignment of projects and ideas
Minimum Requirements
- PMP or PgM certification required
- 8-10 years of related Project or Program Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 3 years of experience leading delivery teams
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Emergency Management, Security, Resilience or related field
- Agile PM

Asfalis is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to plan, organize and lead homeland security and emergency management teams to complete internal and customer-facing projects, on time, within budget, and in accordance with scope.

Responsibilities
- Initiate and implement projects with clearly defined purpose, scope, and objectives
- Establish relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Purpose of the role
Assist and support Asfalis Advisors’ Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Resilience program services with customers and the engagement team. The Support Coordinator role directly supports the direction and guidance of the work product and deliverables driven by Asfalis Technical Leads.

Responsibilities
- Provides subject area support, guidance, technical analyses, and experience in specific technical areas (Emergency Management, Physical Security, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management) to support management, and Technical Leads.
- Assist and support in all aspects of service and product delivery during the development, implementation, testing, and on-going maintenance with customers.
- Develop technical documents, including plans, playbooks, reports, user manuals, briefings, presentations, and business proposals.
- Ensure that final documents meet applicable requirements, compliance, and industry regulations (NIMS, HSEEP, ISO, OSHA, NFP, etc.) for publication ready products.
- Participate in meetings and other environments to assist in collaborative results for Asfalis and clients.
- Assist and support Asfalis teams in accomplishing tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.
- 3-5 years of emergency preparedness, emergency response, business continuity, security, and crisis management (or related field) planning or response experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and publishing emergency management, crisis management, security or business continuity plans for public and private organizations.
- Proven ability to work within complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Requirements
- Direct experience working with senior leadership teams and presenting complex technical concepts in easily understandable text and pictures or graphics.
- Knowledge of standards and best practices related to Emergency Management, Security, Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
- Industry experience in healthcare, aviation, retail, or higher education.
- Previous experience working with a startup company.
- Certifications desired– CBCP, MBCP, PMP, CEM, or other related industry certifications.

Purpose of the role
Asfalis is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to directly support the Leadership Team by managing the back office, communicating on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, and assessing, implementing, and monitoring human resources functions.
The following are the objectives of this role:
- Support the CEO primarily and provide additional support to executive team members, as directed, to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently
- Maintain and refine internal processes that support high-ranking executives companywide, and coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflows
- Manage communication with employees by liaising with internal and external executives on various projects and tasks
- Plan and orchestrate work to ensure that senior executives’ priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld
Responsibilities include:
- Manage professional and personal scheduling for CEO, including agendas, mail, email, phone calls, client management, and other company logistics
- Assist the CEO in preparing for meetings, agendas and follow up task
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management, as well as content and flow of information to senior executives
- Manage senior executives’ travel logistics and activities, including accommodations, transportation, and meals
- Provide administrative and office support, such as typing, dictation, spreadsheet creation, faxing, and maintenance of filing system and contacts database
